Introducing Barry House!

The Building Evolution team have recently taken on a mammoth of a project!

​39 Barry Street in Brunswick, a once loved family home passed down through generations is going to be given a makeover to bring it back to life. The team fell in love with the humble home, sitting on a corner block with a big back yard and charming Edwardian details. We saw all of it's potential and knew we could turn it into something really special again. We met the previous owners who hold the home very close to their hearts. It was home to 17 children at one stage! The home's rich history and importance in the local community makes it an even more compelling project for us.

The plan is to keep as much as we can of the home and restore it. There will be an extension at the rear of the property, and the floor plan will be reconfigured to allow for an open plan living space. Barry Street will become home for Ben and Vicky (the Directors of Building Evolution) and their four children. 

We will be blogging the entire process as we restore, extend and completely transform the home to it's former glory. We look forward to sharing our journey with you!
